Just be and let others just be

Just be and let others just be

Can’t you just be with people?
Sitting in silence
Silence that is more peaceful, more harmonious,
more enjoyable and more memorable
than any conversation you ever had

Can’t you just be with people?
Neverminding their flaws and oddities
Neverminding your own flaws and oddities
Neverminding anything that can
stand between you and them

Can’t you just be with people?
Not expecting anything
Not demanding anything
Not pressing on anything
Not waiting for anything

Can’t you just be with people?
Not competing
Not comparing
Not judging
Not hierarchizing

Can’t you just be with people?
Not feeling superior
Not feeling inferior
Not trying to control others
Not trying to conform to others

Can’t you just be with people?
Leaving the anxiety aside
Leaving the shame aside
Leaving the insecurities aside
Leaving the pretentiousness aside
Do not bring this baggage
Leave hands free and keep heart open

Can’t you just be with people?
Not because you have appointment
Not because it is your business
Not because you can profit from it
Not because it is part of your job

Can’t you just be with people?
With no particular reason at all
With no keeping track of time at all
With no political correctness at all
With no agenda at all

Can’t you just be with people?
Not planning what will happen
Not deciding what can and what cannot happen
Not desiring specific outcomes
Not avoiding specific outcomes

Can’t you just be with people?
Without bringing in confusion
Without building up tension
Without being intimidating
Without being vicious

Can’t you just be with people?
So that everyone feels safe
So that everyone feels like at home
So that space is equally accesible to everyone
So than no one is discriminated

Can’t you just be with people?

Just be
And let others
Just be

  1. Reblogged this on Today,s Thought and commented:
Avoiding conflict isn’t peacemaking. Avoiding conflict means running away from the mess while peacemaking means running into the middle of it.
Peacemaking means addressing those issues that caused conflict in the first place.

Peacemaking can never be separated from doing justice. They go hand in hand. Peacemaking means having to stir the waters on the way to peace.

Peacemaking means speaking the truth in love, but speaking the truth nonetheless.”
